Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIAN CLIFFORD HEDGECOCK
Ian passed away at Grace Hospice Centre losing his battle with cancer on January 6, 2026. He was born in Liverpool England on September 9, 1958, and immigrated to Canada with his parents Clifford and Henrietta Hedgecock and siblings in 1960. He is survived by siblings Lillian, Charmaine, Leslie, Manfred, Cecilia, Clifford, Barry and their families.
Ian and his ex-wife Cheryl stayed in contact, and he cherished her visit with him in November 2025. Ian loved his work as an arborist and landscaper for many years: first in Manitoba, then B.C., and finally back to Manitoba. He received a Recreational Facilitator Diploma for Older Adults from Red River College in 2009 and ended his working career as an Activities Coordinator in a nursing home. Ian had a special place in his heart for his pet dogs. They always were an important part of his life over the years. Cremation has taken place and a family Celebration of Life will take place in future.
Ian's family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre and Grace Hospice for the care they gave him on his final journey. He was surrounded by family as he was welcomed into the arms of God. Thanks to Mosaic Funeral Services for their assistance.
